There have been many events promoted in Australia by Nasser Mashni, Australia Palestine Advocacy Network (APAN) president.
Australians should be aware that Mashni is a person with convictions for kidnapping, violence, and threatening behaviour.
Some of events seek donations for “Olive Kids”, an Australian Foundation, founded in 2007 by Mashni, with the following “Partners” (donation recipients):
- Al Awda Health and Community Association (formerly Union of Health Work Committees – UHWC), which is identified by Fatah as an official PFLP “affiliate” and by a 1993 USAID-engaged audit as the “the PFLP’s health organization.” The PFLP is a terrorist organization, designated as such by the EU, the US, Canada, and Israel. The PFLP is involved in suicide bombings, shootings, and assassinations, among other terrorist activities targeting civilians, and was the first Palestinian organization to hijack airplanes in the 1960s and 1970s.
- Al-Amal (Hope) Institute for Orphans – from 2011 to 2019, “El-Amal Rehabilitation Society” collaborated with the Palestinian National and Islamic Forces [PNIF – an umbrella organization, comprising terror groups, including Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and the PFLP] in Rafah glorifying convicted terrorists and encouraging children to emulate them.
- UNRWA – beyond its core role in fuelling the conflict for the past 74 years, as well as severe problems with terror links, antisemitism, and corruption, UNRWA also engages in extensive politicized “advocacy work”: campaigns to demonize and delegitimize Israel. UNWRA does not consider Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) to be terror groups. It does not hesitate to partner with these groups. According to UNRWA’s 2022 Annual Report, 99.77% of staff in Gaza and the West Bank were local Palestinian Arabs, most of who are members or supporters of terrorist groups. Since October 7, these phenomena have been confirmed:
- A released Israeli hostage testified that he was held in Gaza by an UNRWA teacher.
- A Telegram group of 3,000 UNRWA teachers celebrated Hamas’ brutal October 7 attack.
- Israeli forces in Gaza have discovered weapons hidden beneath UNRWA equipment.
- UNRWA-marked medical and other supplies were found in Hamas tunnels and among the gear discarded on October 7 by terrorists in Israeli border towns.
- UNRWA admitted that Hamas “Ministry of Health” personnel “removed fuel and medical equipment from the Agency’s compound in Gaza city.”
UNRWA employees have also participated in the Hamas Oct 7 rapes, mutilations, abductions, and murders of Israeli residents.
Australians must be alerted to the fact that these purportedly “humanitarian” events are effectively supporting terrorism.
